• Starting the Game
  • Press the ENTER key on the welcome screen with PLAY selected to go to the level select menu.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • Underneath the PLAY button are buttons for game OPTIONS and EXIT.
    • The OPTIONS menu allows you to control sound volume, music volume, screen size, and turn vibration on or off.

    • Move left by pressing the A key or the left arrow key.
    • Move right by pressing the D key or the right arrow key.
    • Jump by pressing the Z key, the up arrow key, or the spacebar.
    • Press the X key to dash, or fly across the screen horizontally.

    • This game was designed for play on computers with connected keyboards.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The level select screen shows unlocked levels in a brighter & more vibrant blue color, whereas locked levels are in a darker blue.

  • Basics
    • In this game you have to get the cat to the exit portal without running into any hazards.
      • Hitting spikes or blades is a one-hit death.
    • Gems
      • Some levels have gems on them which you can collect.
      • The icons for the gems look almost like a floating drop of water with bits of water evaporating from it.
    • Jumping
      • On some levels you have to make long jumps or high jumps.
      • You do not get a standard double jump, but have 2 jump types: regular jump, and sprint rush.
        • Regular jump has you jump up and out, but you can only travel a limited distance.
        • Sprint rush allows you to jump across a far range, though does not change your altitude.
        • You can stack both jump types together.
      • Climbing walls
        • You can jump back and forth between adjacent walls or keep jumping repeatedly on the same wall to climb upward.
        • While you are pressing toward the wall you slide down slowly until either you release or jump again.
      • Sprint rush
        • You only can use one sprint rush per jump.
        • Each time you land on solid ground you gain another teleport.
        • Once you reach level 27 there are spinning squares.
          • Whenever you run into a spinning square you get another sprint rush credit, enabling you to sprint rush many times repeatedly without landing on solid ground.
          • You can only stack one extra credit at a time & can not accumulate many credits all at once, though you can have a single jump which has you through a half dozen or more sprint rush credit boxes.
          • If you have no sprint rush credits remaining the cat will glow until you land on the ground or hit another credit box.
    • Platforms
      • In addition to stationary platforms this game has multiple other platform types.
        • Temporary platforms – have a screw at the bottom center.
          • These fall shortly after you step on them.
          • When they fall away you descend slower than they do.
          • These appear from level 6 onward.
        • Thin blue bars – can cycle back and forth, up and down, or around.
          • If you jump on them while they are moving downward and around you may partially land & remain in a partially landed status until they bottom out.
          • You can’t easily jump off of them while they are moving upward and around as they’ll tend to throw your jump off.
          • These appear from level 21 onward.
        • Blue cubes
          • There are 2 types of blue cubes: solid & spiked.
          • Both operate like platforms but you can also get hurt by the spiked cubes.
          • Both are discussed in the next obstacles section.
    • Obstacles
      • Spikes – stationary obstacles which appear from level 2 onward.
      • Spinning blades – can be stationary, move, or move in a group.
        • These appear from level 11 onward.
        • When they move in a group sometimes they are close together near the edges of their path and spread out in the middle.
      • Spike balls on chains – you can jump through the chains but can not touch the spike balls.
        • These appear from level 32 onward.
        • Like the spinning blades the spiked balls can gather together and then spin apart.
      • Crushing walls – starting on level 37 you encounter crushing walls.
        • These tend to bounce or shake a bit before they move, which gives you time to change your position.
      • Solid blue cubes – you can walk on them like ordinary platforms.
        • If they block your way you can break them by doing a sprint dash run through them.
        • You can walk across them and they will not break, provided you do not do a sprint dash.
        • These first appear on level 42.
      • Solid blue cubes with an X on them – these turn into spikes that kill you shortly after they are touched.
        • You have to move across them quickly to get past them before the spikes come out.
        • These first appear on level 43.
  • Levels
    • This game has 50 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
      • You can also scroll through the locked levels to see what they look like before they are unlocked, though have to beat all prior levels to unlock them.
      • Unlocked levels have a lighter background color & locked levels have a darker background color.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You win by making it to the exit portal at the end of the stage.
      • You lose if you run into obstacles like spikes, spinning blades, or hammers.
      • This games offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of any level you lost.
  • Tips
    • Patience
      • This game requires a lot of patience.
      • Many levels have easy and hard parts in them, where you can rest in the easy parts to regroup & make the level easier to beat by breaking the hard parts into smaller movement sequences with rest in between them.
      • Some levels require you to repeatedly jump and sprint rush, or to repeatedly sprint rush.
        • Many pattern sequences have a step in them that require you change directions, alter move order, or otherwise violate the sequence.
        • Keep a consistent pace while the pattern is the same & be ready to shift your approach when the pattern changes.
    • Walls
      • When climbing walls you often have to jump on the same wall until you are near spikes and then jump across, or jump across and do a sprint rush.
      • If you are too close to spikes above you when you want to jump across you can keep holding pressing toward the wall you are on to slowly slide down it before jumping across.
    • Sprint rush
      • If you need to hit a series of sprint rush boxes it is beneficial to hit the first one while slightly above it, so that if/as you lose altitude on future sprint rushes you are still within hit detection range.
    • Level 49 has an Easter Egg where you can jump and exit left rather than right & go through a second screen to catch another cat.

  • The game is suited for players who love cats or like challenging platforming games.
